Built in the early 20th century, the building known as Hammer's Annex 2 is located at 226 South Broad Street. It is a one-story, painted brick building with large plate glass display windows.

According to Mechell Steeley Sanders who works in the courthouse, this space was home to the Rock House Market in the 1930s. This store was run by her grandfather, who can be seen in some of the crowd photos of the square during the Scottsboro Boys trial in 1931. This space was home to the Coffee Shop from the later 1940s until the early 1960s. In the 1965 phone book, this space is occupied by David Lee, who has moved from the west side of the square. In the late 1970s and 1980s, it was home to Bobby’s Real Burger restaurant.

About 1990, this space became part of Hammers and this address disappeared. It is currently referred to as Hammers Annex 2.
